The #WeAreInternational campaign celebrates international students – and the value of international education – in the UK.
The #WeAreInternational campaign originated at the University of Sheffield in 2013 with the support of other universities and sector partners, to recognise and value the positive impact of international students and staff in UK universities.
The campaign has won a number of awards, including Best International Strategy from Times Higher Education, PIE News and the Guardian.
In 2019, the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) took over the reins of this award-winning campaign from the University of Sheffield and initiated a new International Student Ambassador Programme that empowers the UK’s global student communities.
In 2020, we were delighted to welcome the first two cohorts of ambassadors to the programme, they have made invaluable contributions and their hard work is highly regarded by colleagues across the sector.
Applications are now open to become a #WeAreInternational Student Ambassador 2022-23.
Applications opens now and will close at 15:00 (UK time) on Wednesday 3 November 2021. Shortlisted candidates are invited to online interview from 13:00-17:00 (UK time) on Wednesday 1 December 2021.
